It’s been a busy three months since I last posted on this blog.  I don’t think I’ve ever left it for so long! I have a handful of photography sessions I can share with you soon, but most of the past three months has been spent getting healthy and fit.  I still have a fair...

Getting Healthy & Fit – A Personal Post

Here’s a brutally honest post about me, Sara. For those who know me well, you’d know I don’t talk about myself overly.  When I meet people, I’m quiet and a little shy.  I find it hard to talk.  I’m not a snob, as I’ve been accused of being (“When I first met you, I thought...

My New Apprentice || Brisbane Netball Team Photographer

I spent last Saturday photographing all the Netball teams part of the Beetles Netball club at Coorparoo.  It was a great day, meeting many excited girls getting close to finishing their 2011 Netball season. My daughter Amelia was my apprentice for the day, after she had finished her game.  Her team, the Biscuit Beetles have...

Our 11th Wedding Anniversary

Today is John and my eleventh wedding anniversary.  We are jetting off to Hobart for the weekend – our first time away together since our honeymoon!  By the time our first anniversary came around, we were parents of a six-week old baby (Amelia). Our wedding was everything I wanted it to be.  I never dreamed...

Babies No More || Brisbane Family Photographer

*sigh*  They grow up too fast! My youngest two, James and Daniel, both recently celebrated their birthdays (two and one respectively).  Although they are still very young, they just aren’t babies any more.  They are both climbers – fast climbers – and more inquisitive and mischievous than my other three put together.  They are so...

With Love || Brisbane Family Photographer

I am now back in full swing at the Camp Hill studio and on location, after a brief break with back to school and family time. My family is very sad to lose my Father-in-law, Alf Pearcy.  He was a beautiful man with a kind spirit.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  We...

A light-hearted post this morning, I think! Once again, it is Canon Photo5 competition time and I actually managed to get all my entries photographed and entered in time! All my entries where based on each of my five kids, to make them a set.  I don’t expect to get anywhere with them, but I...

Personal Project || Brisbane Children Photographer

For John’s birthday this year, I created three flip-books with six sets of flip-action photos.  He loved them and I loved making them!  These are my favourite images from each of the sets (minus the set depicting John & I – we aren’t as cute as the kids!). I’m so lucky to have such fun...

A couple of quick changes for the blog.  I’ve updated the theme I was using, so now you can join me on Facebook and Twitter by clicking on the tab to the left.  Be warned, I update Twitter even less than the blog at the moment, but I will Tweet more often once I catch...

Amazed and, well, Blown Away!

I don’t often say much about my kids, other than they are lovely or doing well, but I just have to share my astonishment at my little Nicholas!  Nick is five and started Prep last week.  He is quite clever and likes to try to keep up with his 7yo brother and 8yo sister. When...
