What a fun family! Thank you for inviting me to your home!
I had SO many gorgeous shots that I found it difficult to pick a few favourites for the blog!

Thanks again, Leica!

A very warm welcome to Olive, little sister to Daisy. Olive did VERY well in the studio, given that my little baby heater burnt out and Olive wasn’t snug and warm for the entirity of the shoot.

Olive with the Gradum Gypsies canvas…

Big sister Daisy is going to be so helpful!

Ah, girls. I love little girls. I love the way they see things and I love their pretty, dainty ways. These three little girls were an absolute joy!

Yes, these eyes really are this amazing!

Love you all.

I’ve spent the last month watching each member of my family get hit by the various colds and tummy bugs, only to then finally get sick myself! I’m a tad behind in blogging, sorry!
Sweet little Riley visited the studio late May. He has such a serious little face.

Welcome to the world, Riley!

I have been SO keen to share this collaboration with you and now is my chance!
Earlier this year, Sassi Photography commissioned The Gradum Gypsies to create a HUGE work of art for my newborn photography! The idea is to photograph newborns in front of it, then print a new canvas with the baby at life size. Imagine having this amazing work of art on your wall with your baby at the actual size they were when the image was taken!
Riley is our first Gradum Gypsy/Sassi baby…

I just received the new ‘Riley’ canvas this morning and it is sensational!!
Check out The Gradum Gypsies’ Etsy store! Ngaire Bartlam & Jill Geraghty-Groves are an artistic storm!!

PS. Ngaire & Jill – you have to tell me what ‘a string of wampum’ is! lol

I’m a sucker for a red head! John is a red head and each time we have a new baby, we are astounded that they don’t have red hair! (We both have LOTS of red on both sides of our family, too!!)
This is Miss A and she’s three. We tried lots of different things in the studio with her and she was patient and followed instruction very well. Thanks for the fun morning!

Honestly, body art and photography go hand-in-hand.
May 15-16 saw Eumundi hosting the Australian Body Art Carnivale and my lovely friend Lorraine Halse painted up a {fairy} storm! Josh Gow Photography photographed the event and Josh has kindly allowed me to share his images of Lorraine. I’m so proud…. she won People’s Choice!!
Congratulations Lorraine!! Can’t wait to see your next work of art. [{ Thanks again Josh. }]
Edited to add:
Check out the local rag too!! Lorraine has a nice feature in there.

In just a couple of short weeks I’ll be back teaching at the annual Scrapbook Expo at the Brisbane Convention centre. I’m told classes are filling fast, but there are a few places available on the official website – www.scrapbookexpo.com.au/
If you’d like to know your camera better and learn some of my secrets on how to take better photos, come along to Classroom 1 or 9 for more information. Classroom 1 is the Scrapbooking Memories classroom, for which I wrote digital and photography articles for two years.
Classroom 9 is the Point Shoot Play classroom where you can get a great taste of the fantastic photography and photoimaging classes we run at my studio, in selected scrapbooking stores and privately. All the girls will be there, Sara, Andrea, Fiona and Mel.
Saturday is shaping up to be the first day to sell out, Monday will be the pick to come with a group of friends and attend our classes.
With a different spin on things this year, come say hi at Classroom 9… If you have been to any one of our classes in previous years, you will not be disappointed. We start each day with The Top 10 Techniques we have been asked for over the years (laptop and Wacom Graphics Tablet Provided) , then move on to Photography 20 to 1 (if you can bring your camera and manual) and finish with our Digi Class, thats not not just a Digi class (laptop and Wacom Graphics Tablet Provided), we look at and complete a digi layout, plus more…
Click here for the Expo Class Timetable
If you not sure what class, you need to be at, fell free to drop Point Shoot Play a line mel@pointshootplay.com or call 0400 750 567.
See you at the show!!

Honest to goodness, I could have taken these two home. Taylor & Paige are both so sweet and kissable.

Four weeks after photographing these, I managed to have another cuddle of this gorgeous pair. I could have been lost staring at them for hours. Just beautiful!

Before the weather turned cold, I had the pleasure of photographing Miss L and her parents. She absolutely captured my heart. *sigh*

Thanks for a fun shoot!

I promised to share these a while back… where do the days go?
I’ve spent months (probably closer to a year) sourcing and trialling different products to offer my photography clients. I am so completely happy with the products I now offer. A full range can be viewed at the Sassi Photography Studio, Camp Hill.

Some of the products are made just up the road from my home! A small selection are from much further away. All of the products are of the highest quality and are truly beautiful to see.

Because I can’t show you the images from my latest couple of shoots yet, I have more studio to show. I put my Sassi Photography logo up on the wall and just about everything has a home now. I plan to be at the studio all day tomorrow (except for an hour or so around midday). I am really looking forward to it!
Aren’t these great? I now have more vehicles and planes for little boys to play with. If you love any of the boys toys you see here, I have them for sale! Let me tell you, they are a HUGE hit with the littlies.

I had to label this photo with all the things I’m loving. Check out the one-of-a-kind artwork created by the amazing Gradum Gypsies! Ngaire & Jill are so very talented and I can’t wait to incorporate this canvas into my newborn shoot next week!! Thank you ~ love you both. xx

Of course we need a FUN place for the kids to play. James spends a bit of time in here and is happy. If anyone wants to donate a big, light TV I can mount to the wall, please feel free!

Actually, the kids have the best view of what’s going on in the studio. This is their view, up to the front of the studio. The big rectangles are the banners I have in the windows. (I really need to get a new photo of the front to show.)

…and here are the banners. The gorgeous Meg & Liam, baby Amelie and my own baby Daniel.

Drop me a line or email if you’d like a photoshoot.
